COVID-19 (Coronavirus) January 2023 Update:
Whilst all government measures have been relaxed we continue to ensure our activities are as safe and enjoyable as possible.
In line with the continuing guidance you should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people if you:
have any symptoms of COVID-19, and have a high temperature or you do not feel well enough to go to work or do your normal activities.
have tested positive for COVID-19 – this means it's very likely you have the virus.
Try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days
Try to avoid meeting people at higher risk from COVID-19 for 10 days, especially if their immune system means they’re at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19, even if they’ve had a COVID-19 vaccine
This starts from the day after you did the test.
Lateral flow tests are still recommended if you do have symptoms although for most people these are no longer available for free.
Hand sanitiser and face mask/covering do not generally need to be worn. You should continue to regularly wash or sanitise your hands.
If you develop symptoms during the activity, raise it with the activity leader and take extra care at maintaining social distancing. Put on a face covering or utilise suitable clothing to cover your mouth and nose where practical. We will then look at options to return. Take additional care to wash/sanitise your hands regularly.
Mountain Rescue services may be operating with longer response times. You should be equipped and prepared to deal with the situation within your own group if necessary. If using group shelters in an emergency or to shelter from cold/adverse weather you may wish to wear a mask at times when virus levels are high, particularly if you are in a vulnerable group.
myGuidedWalks is approved as "Good To Go" by Visit England.
Additional safety and hygiene measures are in place and some changes to recommended kit have been made. We continue to review and will follow any government guidance. All activities have been assessed and a number of changes made. Some routes have been amended and new routes added to avoid the busiest times or locations. We have also completed an additional 2 days of wilderness first aid training including how to deliver first aid during COVID-19.
If you wish to discuss changing any aspect of your booking, or discuss a new booking please contact us at any time. We will aim to make changes wherever possible to ensure you are completely happy with all arrangements. If you are from one of the vulnerable groups, we can talk with you about how we can deliver an experience you feel happy to book.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
