Navigation Training in the Peak District, Snowdonia or Lake District

Learn to Navigate

We offer a selection of 1 day and 2 day navigation training courses and a choice of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Most navigation courses take place in the Peak District or Lake District but can also be based in other areas on request.

The Beginner Navigation Training course will provide you with a basic introduction and the skills to start walking safely using a map and compass.

The Intermediate Navigation Training and Advanced Navigation Training courses enable you to learn more in-depth navigation and compass techniques. This will provide you with the skills to tackle more complex terrain and the difficulties of navigating in poor weather or in the dark. Whatever your needs, one of our navigation skills courses will be just the thing.

If you'd prefer a more personalized touch or 1-to-1 navigation coaching then we can put together your very own day booked as Private Guiding. Navigation training to help you prepare for the navigation element of the Mountain Leader Assessment can also be arranged, as well as a night navigation training.
